Welcome to Countryside Elementary!

Ms. Lori Zataveski
Principal
The Countryside School is home to 335 students in Grades PK-4, and 70 staff members each school day. Here are just a few of the many opportunities our students have been given to encourage active learning:

Through our Buddy Program, each preschool child in our school is paired with a fourth-grade buddy. The buddies meet for one period a week and participate in a teacher-directed learning activity. Through our Student Announcer Program, the students in kindergarten through fourth-grade conduct the morning opening exercises, and announcements.

We have a very active and caring Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). In addition to raising funds for technology, assemblies, field trips, and playground equipment, the PTO consistently generates ideas for school improvement.

Countryside's 2017-2018 Class Supply Lists

If It's Summer, It Must Be Time For Summer Reading Lists!

Mount Laurel's Summer Reading Program includes suggested books for students in Grade 1-7. Students are encouraged to create a log of books read for discussion in class in the Fall. Please recognize that your child may select a book that is not on the suggested list that fits his or her individual interests and reading level. Should you have questions about the Summer Reading Program, please contact your school office, which will be open throughout the summer. The following letters to parents detail the program by grade level. The suggested list is also linked below.

Central Registration July 5 to September 7

Don’t wait until the end of summer to register new students! Classes are formed and bus routes developed throughout the summer. Late registrations impact class sizes and may result in transportation delays for your child. So, if you are new to the area, or are registering a new student for the first time in Mount Laurel, please do so as soon as possible. Click here to access our Online Registration System to begin the process.

For kindergarten, your child must be five years old or or before October 1, 2017. If you are unsure of your sending area school, check this link or call district Administrative Offices at (856) 235-3387.

The registration process begins online, where you can fill-out all of the necessary forms in advance. Our 2017-18 online registration system is available here. The registration process is not completed until you bring the originals of the required documents to the school for verification. For more information on the documents required, visit our Registration webpage.

Our Central Registration Office is open this summer at the Margaret L. Haynes Center at 354 Mount Laurel Road every Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

That office will be open from July 5 to September 7. Before and after those dates, registration will take place at the school your child will attend. Please note that transportation services will be delayed by two days for any student registered on September 3 or later.
