Welcome to Countryside Elementary!
Ms. Lori Zataveski
The Countryside School is home to 335 students in Grades PK-4, and 70 staff members each school day. Here are just a few of the many opportunities our students have been given to encourage active learning:
Through our Buddy Program, each preschool child in our school is paired
with a fourth-grade buddy. The buddies meet for one period a
participate in a teacher-directed learning activity. Through
our Student Announcer Program, the students in kindergarten through
fourth-grade conduct the morning opening exercises, and announcements.
We have a very active and caring Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). In addition to raising funds for technology, assemblies, field trips, and playground equipment, the PTO consistently generates ideas for school improvement.

Minutes from our November 2 "Points of Pride" Meeting Now Online
Our November 2 meeting focused on Points of Pride - those things participants were most proud of within the Mount Laurel Schools. More than 130 community members worked in 30 small groups to identify personal points of pride first, and then discussed those items within the group to come to consensus on items they had identified in common. Here are the complete minutes from the November 2 Points of Pride Meeting.
A Path to Success 2030
The Mount Laurel School District has launched "A Path to Success 2030", a strategic planning initiative that engages our community prior to the development of a new three-year strategic plan for our schools.
I would like to personally invite you to participate in our Strategic Planning Meetings. Your perspective would be a tremendous asset as the entire community comes together for these important discussions. Each of our sessions will focus on a specific theme designed to gather your input. All meetings will be held at the Mount Laurel Hartford School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., as described below.
George J. Rafferty, Superintendent of Schools
Our Next Session - Thursday, November 30

Our Third Meeting - Thursday, December 7
Creating An Action Plan for the Future:Participants will define action items necessary to accomplish our Path to Success 2030.
Check out our new interactive Cafeteria Menu. Breakfast and Lunch Menus are all in one place, and all schools are accessible through a drop-down menu. Hold your cursor over any item in bold and its complete nutritional value will pop up. Use the button on the top-right of the page to get Carb Counts on all menu items. It's a big step in our shared goal of keeping students healthy as well as wise! Please note that as part of our effort to "go green," lunch menus will not be sent home with students in hard copy after October.
|Countryside's new seating area was donated by Ronald C. Hicks, a senior at Lenape Regional High School, who is earning his Eagle Scout status within the Boy Scouts of America. Ronald planned the area, constructed the foundation, assembled the bench and planted the landscaping as part of his project. Ronald attended Countryside School.|
