Welcome to Countryside Elementary!

Ms. Lori Zataveski
Principal
The Countryside School is home to 335 students in Grades PK-4, and 70 staff members each school day. Here are just a few of the many opportunities our students have been given to encourage active learning:

Through our Buddy Program, each preschool child in our school is paired with a fourth-grade buddy. The buddies meet for one period a week and participate in a teacher-directed learning activity. Through our Student Announcer Program, the students in kindergarten through fourth-grade conduct the morning opening exercises, and announcements.

We have a very active and caring Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). In addition to raising funds for technology, assemblies, field trips, and playground equipment, the PTO consistently generates ideas for school improvement.

Philadelphia Girls Choir Auditions Coming Here!

They should be returned to your child's Mount Laurel School Music Teacher as soon as possible, or completed and e-mailed to Marie Reynolds.
Philadelphia Girls Choir Music Director Jeffrey Smith will hold auditions for girls ages seven and older who have not previously auditioned for the Choir at the Hillside School on Thursday, June 1, beginning at 3:30 p.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. Girls interested in joining the Choir's training program will be asked to sing a familiar song and perform a few simple singing exercises. This audition is very informal and will last only a few moments. Those girls selected for a final audition will be notified by mail within the month. These local auditions are open to all girls from the area who meet the above criteria and need not be a Mount Laurel Schools student.

Visit Our Learning Garden Blog Page!

Countryside’s Learning Garden has been created as a place where students can connect to nature and the environment around them, while nurturing their creativity and curiosity. Students are planning, developing and maintaining the garden, as well as participating in hands-on activities that incorporate standard-focused activities in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math). Everyone at Countryside has the opportunity to use this outdoor classroom to explore, discuss, collaborate and learn first-hand through meaningful and engaging lessons.

Did You Know You Can Get Connected Affordably?

Over 1 million families have connected to the Internet at home thanks to a Comcast program called Internet Essentials. Eligible families can attain Internet service for $9.95 a month, and may even qualify for a low-cost computer. Even families that have previous unpaid bills with Comcast may qualify for this service. Click here for more information and to fill-out an application.
